How do I change my Microsoft 365 password?

Resetting your Microsoft 365 password depends on if you are able to log into your account or not.

If you are locked out of your account or don't remember your password:

You will have to contact a Microsoft Administrator to reset your password.

  • For ACS requests, contact the Secondary Office at (907) 322-5150
  • For Mountain City Church requests, contact the IT Office at (907) 644-5138

Once a Microsoft Administrator has reset your password, they will provide you with a temporary password to log in. Microsoft will require you to change your password once you log in with this temporary password. Follow the on-screen prompts to set your new password.

If you are able to log into your account, follow these steps to change your password:

  1. Navigate to https://www.office.com
  2. Click the red button 'Sign In'
  3. Enter your ACS or Mountain City Church email address
  4. Enter your current password
  5. Click on your name in the upper right-hand corner
  6. Click 'View account'
  7. Under the Password section, click 'Change password'
  8. Enter your current password, then your new password two times
  9. Click 'Submit'

You've now changed your Microsoft 365 password!
