Why isn't my document printing to the Resource Room?

As beneficial as it may be to walk back and forth from the classroom to the Elementary Resource Room, getting us closer to that daily step count, it is most definitely frustrating to hit print only to find the printer tray empty upon arrival.

Here are a couple things to check if your print job isn't at the printer:

  • First and foremost, did you double check that the print job is set to print in Black & White in printer properties? Remember that the Ricoh printer in the Resource Room only allows you to print in black and white and rejects all color jobs. This is by far the most common reason documents fail to print.
  • Did you receive an error message when trying to print? If an error message appears, then please provide this error when creating a ticket so we can better assist you.
  • Does your document have legs? If you printed your document a while ago and others have printed things since then, occasionally the document could have been accidentally picked up by another staff. Check the areas surrounding the printer to see if it was left there and always be sure to verify you are only taking your documents when using this shared resource!
